Keynote Topic #1

IT’S ALL ABOUT PEOPLE

It’s All About People is a one-hour keynote address sending a strong message with an added dose of humor. As the host of the popular ABC game show The Newlywed Game for eight yearsBob Eubanks learned important people skills. With these skills, he went on to manage the careers of the late Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton and Barbara Mandrell and produced concerts for the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.

Bob’s career began in radio. During his years as a disc jockey, Bob realized that in order to be truly successful he could apply his strengths and talents in other areas. This has given him a unique business strategy that has worked well for him over the years. His experiences have given him a rich perspective on building relationships, or partnerships, both personal and in business.

It’s All About People weaves funny clips from the original Newlywed Game to emphasize Bob’s message. It encompasses many thought-provoking topics that are relevant both in the workplace and in the personal lives of audiences. Men and women over a wide demographic can appreciate Bob’s clean humor and insightful presentation.

Among the subjects Bob presents are:

  • Learning to re-invent yourself in the business world, finding success in your abilities
  • The importance of first impressions
  • Recognizing the value in other people and learning how to validate them
  • The importance of senior citizens in the workplace and society (their population will more than double over the next 25 years!)
  • The devastating effects of criticism
  • Using humor as a communication skill in partnership-building
  • Maintaining good people skills in a technological world that places less and less emphasis on effective, face-to-face communication
  • Dealing effectively with cultural diversity in the workplace and beyond
