Lionel T. Marumahoko (Snr) is a highly successful business executive, innovative corporate visionary, trusted advisor, and forward-thinking entrepreneur with a strong track record of enhancing operations and sales, transforming enterprise systems, expanding markets, managing M&A opportunities, and sustaining business growth.

He is an expert on doing business and navigating the African continent having worked and lived in 8 different African countries and provided executive leadership over 36 Sub-Sahara Africa markets in an illustrious corporate career of 25 years with The Coca-Cola Company.

His hands on knowledge and experience enables him to brings a fresh perspective, actionable insights and solutions to some of the continent's stickiest challenges. He is passionate about the Africa opportunity and his talks and insights empower organisations with practical information on how to plan for growth and expansion on the African continent.

Lionel’s business leadership and advisory capacity is leveraged through his work as Managing Partner and Chairman for My Spectrum business consulting firm. Here he provides executive leadership in identification, establishment, and expansion of a high calibre partner and stakeholder network and engaged client base spanning 50+ countries.

Key engagements include guiding a European communications group through African market entry, leading an African investment group through business transformation, and advising an African conglomerate through IPO readiness.

As seen in his corporate board work, Lionel’s zeal for driving business success is matched by his passion for the development of his beloved continent of Africa. He is a man of great social conscience and is driven by the need to contribute to the betterment of the lives of the marginalised and underprivileged within the communities he has lived.

His board work extends to non-profit ventures as well, including serving as Chairman and Board member for Uncommon, an organization impacting 6,000 young African lives through technology skills development, and as Executive Patron for Tag Rugby Trust, a UK-based charity offering life- and career-based learning through sport.

Lionel’s executive leadership success foundation lies in his earlier work with Coca- Cola. Here he led the development, strategy, and execution of an integrated, multi- year strategic growth plan that included talent expansion and leadership incubation, and ultimately led to the reenergizing the Coca-Cola business across key markets in Africa—including Nigeria, Kenya, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Ivory Coast.

His acumen for franchise business model management, retail commercial excellence, route-to-market supply chain management and stewardship, and market research led way to significant growth opportunity within the Coca-Cola’s juice and water product lines across East and Central Africa.
