With her unique look, quick wit and bubbly personality, it’s no surprise that Nomuzi Mabena, also fondly known as ‘Moo-zlie’ to her fans, beat thousands of hopefuls and won the MTV Base VJ Search in 2012.

Before winning the VJ Search, Nomuzi started out in Benoni as a model. She has modelled for lines such as KhosiNkosi@YDE and The Trading Post amongst many more.

She has walked in the popular ‘Palulu Love Pops Up Show’ But it wasn’t too long until Nomuzi was introduced to the South African public, when she was on of the top two finalists for the SABC 1 Live presenter search.

Not only did she come second in this search, she was also a top 6 finalist in the media career guide presenter search. Nomuzi is fun, fearless and a force to be reckoned with and on stage she has an impeccable interaction with the crowd.

Having interviewed the likes of Miguel, Snoop Dogg, Dbanj, Flavour, and KhuliChana , no interview or crowd is too big or too small for Nomuzito handle. Having reigned as Miss Benoni2010, Nomuzihas been involved in the well being and upliftment of the women and children of Benoni.

She has worked with ‘The Ithemba Rape and Crisis Centre’ Today she still continues that relationship and another close one to her heart is the children at Sibonelo Intermediary School. With her personal mojo –‘Where there is life, there is hope’ –the sky truly is the limit for this ambitious young lady.
