Imago Relationship Therapy was my turning point
I was astounded at how powerful Imago is and the insights I gained into how our upbringing shapes us and the kinds of relationships we forge both at home and in the workplace.
I started my journey into the people development space in 2009 and have been working with people and organisations all over the world ever since. My focus and passion is working with people and organisations who have a vested interested in developing their staff and business to co-create an environment that goes beyond “enjoyable” into something that feels purposeful and fulfilling and feeds into profitability.
I believe life is a lifelong journey of learning and I am continually up-skilling myself with knowledge and tools to have an even greater impact in the lives of the people I am blessed to work with.
Besides my professional qualifications, I am also an international speaker, Tedx speaker and author of 2 books: Embracing Conflict and Embracing No.
I am also an adventure seeker
Sport and an active lifestyle is my happy place and here you will often find me competing in several adventures such as:
The Comrades Marathon (14th overall/ 10th SA lady – 2009), Two Oceans Marathon (15th overall/11th SA lady – 2010), cycled from Sun City to Cape Town for charity in 8 days, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and walked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru to mention a few.
I therefore know what it takes to set goals, push myself and have the discipline, focus and motivation it takes to achieve your dreams and goals. Inspiring, motivating and touching people’s lives is my passion.
Relationships are the Currency of The Future
Money doesn't make the World go round - relationships do.
Every day we impact peoples lives whether it be our children, friends or people in the work place through our interactions. Our relationships, social interactions and communication skills have taken a back seat as we continue to get caught up in the busy hamster wheel of life. Why we should invest in our relationships and how they contribute value to our lives.
Bringing the human back into everything we do.
We've lost touch on how to connect at a human level because we are so busy being busy and chasing the proverbial hamster wheel.
Psychological Safety - Everyone wants to belong.
Employees have realised they have choices and options available to them and are seeking out organisations that prioritise mental health, flexibility and growth opportunities.
Psychological safety has become paramount to organisations who want to not only attract and retain their people, but also remain profitable.
Your people are your business. Without your people you do not have a business.
How serious are you about their well-being and the experiences you are creating for them?
Busting The Myth Of GBVH
Whether we want to admit it or not, domestic abuse happens on a daily basis in our homes, businesses and communities. The pandemic has seen both divorce and GBVH stats spike globally and we can no longer ignore this silent, and often violent killer.
Organisations have a compliance requirement to keep their employees safe yet they are not proactively including these topics in their employee wellness support structures.
If there were no perpetrators, there would be no victims....and if you have victims in your organisation it is highly likely that you have perpetrators within your organisation too.
Facilitating connection through building relationships and psychological safety, resulting in engaged humans at work and at home. Advocate for Mental Health and activist for gender-based violence
Hello and welcome!
I’m so glad you have found your way here and I’m really looking forward to working with you.
How I got here started from my own personal journey of adversity of losing my mother at age 7, sexual abuse, binge eating, failed relationships and more, until I decided that my past does not define who I am – I do.
Life is too short to be unhappy and miserable especially in our relationships which should be our biggest source of support and nurturing afterall.
I am a passionate advocate for positive and healthy workplaces, personal development, well-being and against gender-based violence. I love empowering others with insights and tools to have the life they desire.
