The words vivacious and vigorous aptly encapsulate who Taryn Louch is. She is fuelled by passion, and it’s the main ingredient she puts into everything she does.
Give me a microphone coupled with a captive audience, and I come alive. I absolutely adore working as an emcee and being remunerated for one of my greatest passions – talking.
I am honoured to have worked with a host of remarkable brands, and done some really interesting emcee work both locally and internationally.
No matter the brief, I am able to tailor my delivery to suit the brand, the mood and the audience, and have emceed an array of events, gala evenings, conferences, awards ceremonies, fashion shows, product launches and charity initiatives, both in South Africa and abroad.
I love a brief that pushes the envelope, and have had loads of fun along the way, whether I am guiding a group of international medical professionals through a dinner in the dark at the Crowne Plaza, or hosting the Elizabeth Arden Illumination of Hyde Park Corner, in aid of breast cancer awareness, at the same time that the Eiffel Tower was illuminated.
From launching Econet in Zimbabwe, to hosting the FNB Business bankers for a weekend of golf in Zimbali; to directing Noshcon 2014 and 2015; from a weekend of Health and Safety in the Champagne Valley, to hosting a beauty pageant to launching the GQ Gentlemen’s Lounge – variety is the spice of life.
Taking the role of emcee one step further, I have also enjoyed keynote addresses on a wealth of subjects, including Guest Speaker at the Saheti Debutantes Ball 2016 on the subject of: "In a world where you can be anything, be yourself."
Call it the gift of the gab, but I am blessed to do what I love and love what I do.
