Advocate and Business & Human Rights Specialist
Better Business Through Legal Compliance
6 Hengilcon Ave
In the field of human rights and sustainability, international corporates arguably play an even more significant role than the nation state. Despite this, international accountability remains elusive. Businesses should, however, take note of the fact that this is changing. Consumers are becoming more and more concerned about the sources of raw materials for their luxury products and the extracting practices of suppliers. Human rights protectors are becoming more visible thanks to social media and a Business and Human Rights treaty is at an advanced stage of development. International businesses do not want to end up on the wrong side of history and consumer sentiment. Sound supply chain policies and ethical business approaches are key to ensuring that your business stands out as an ethical provider of products that can be used with peace of mind. Whether it is about labour practices, health and safety, political upheaval or environmental degradation, my specialist courses will ensure that your management teams are informed and aware of their obligations, best practice strategies to meet those and about the consequences of non-compliance.
